At Aiva, we create platforms to empower healthcare organizations. To do so, we research and choose the best technologies that we can find, and our front-end engineering team builds and maintains clients based on those technologies.
We're looking for a teammate who loves to create and maintain such front-end clients, someone who enjoys working with a wide variety of programming languages, operating systems, toolkits, and cloud platforms. As that teammate, you will be expected to have a keen eye for small details, an ability to dive deeply into many different technologies, and a genuine interest in taking on responsibilities from every part of the software development stack. We're looking for someone who is truly interested in the practice of modern computing, from coding to deployment.
In addition to technical competence, the teammate we seek is someone who is firmly aligned with our master values. All engineers at Aiva must be comfortable as not only students, but also as teachers; and, above all, skillful communicators.
Aiva improves caregiving for patients/residents and caregivers alike. We help organizations deploy Amazon Echos, Google Homes and other voice assistants into hospitals and senior living facilities. The voice assistants give users hands-free entertainment and control over their environment, but more importantly they improve communication with caregivers. When you say what you need, Aiva understands and routes your request to the most appropriate person. Caregivers then use our mobile app to quickly respond and manage requests. We also provide back-end tools for managing public-facing voice skills, managing devices and reporting & analytics.
Aiva is based in Los Angeles, and our investors include local VCs as well as the Google Assistant Investment Program and Amazon's Alexa Fund. We are growing quickly and looking to expand our team. Some folks work remotely, and we’re open to candidates for this position who don’t live in LA.
